Queen Of Hearts Door Prize
American Legion Post 150 will be holding our Queen of Hearts Door Prize drawing this Thursday night with a progressive cash prize that is currently sitting at $533 Door Prize tickets are FREE and distribution is between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Drawing will be held at 7:30 PM and YOU MUST BE PRESENT to participate.
Rules of for the Queen Of Hearts Door Prize event are as follows:
1. You MUST be at least 21 years old to participate
2. You MUST be present to participate
3. Limit 1 door prize ticket per participant
4. Ticket MUST be discarded if you leave the premises
5. Number of tickets distributed will be based on capacity limits
The lucky participant of the ticket drawn gets to select 1 card from the playing board. If the Queen of Hearts is drawn they win 100% of the current door prize amount. If the participant does not draw the Queen of Hearts, they get a consolation prize and the door prize amount grows by $1 for every ticket involved with that current drawing.

Breakfast Buffet
Join Post 150 on Sunday May 17th between 8:30 AM and Noon for a great breakfast buffet! Cost for the breakfast is only $15 for adults, $10 for kids 6 to 12 years old, and $5 for kids 5 and under! This all you can eat meal includes a build your own omelet bar, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage links, biscuits & sausage gravy, white or wheat toast, pancakes, a selection of pastries, fruit salad, juice, milk, and coffee. Memorial Day Services
Join Waconia American Legion Post 150 and Victoria American Legion Post 1995 on Monday, May 25th to pay tribute to those who fought and died for our country.
The day to honor the fallen begins at 10:45 AM with a parade led by the Color Guard. The parade begins at the intersection of South Vine Street & West Main Street and ends at City Square Park. Waconia American Legion Post 150 and Victoria American Legion Post 1995 will then host a formal Memorial Day Service in City Square Park starting at 11:00 AM. The services will feature the following:
- Music by the Waconia High School Marching Band
- Community & Legion Speakers
- Keynote Speaker: Curator of Collections Jeremy Murray Of The Carver County Historical Society
- Remember & Honor Program
- Color Guard Salute To The Fallen
After the formal ceremony has concluded, the community is invited to a free picnic at the American Legion Post 150 club located at 4 East Main Street. The picnic includes hot dogs with all the fixings, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, potato chips, pickle spears, and lemonade! The Viking Battalion Presentation
SAL Squadron 150 will be hosting a FREE World War II history presentation regarding the 99th Infantry Battalion on Thursday May 7th at 7:00 PM in the Waconia Middle School auditorium.
Keynote speakers will Olaf Minge and Dr. Kyle Ward who are co-authors of the book The Viking Battalion. This event will also include guest presenters from the following organizations:

The Waconia Lions Club will be sponsor a free meal for Veterans on Tuesday November 11th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The meal includes Brats with Kraut, Onion Rings or Fries, Salads & Dessert. Guests who are not a Veteran can purchase the meal for $15. Hope to see you at the club on Veterans Day!

Blood Drive
Auxiliary Unit 150 will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive on October 27th from Noon until 6:00 PM. Be sure to visit the American Red Cross website at https://www.redcrossblood.org/ to register for an open timeslot if you are ready, willing, and able to donate!
Carver County Pheasants Forever Special Event
Join us for a great day while supporting the Carver County chapter of Pheasants Forever. Ticket sales will begin at 11:00 AM and the games will begin at 1:00 PM. PURCHASE OF GAME CARDS ARE REQUIRED AND YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO HAVE A SEAT! This is a first come first serve event, and saving of tables and chairs is NOT ALLOWED! Cost for the event is $80 and includes 10 game rounds. Refreshments will also be available for sale.

Join Waconia American Legion Post 150 on September 13th for our annual event to celebrate Nickle Dickle Day! Their will be drink and food specials throughout the day, apparel sales, a round of our weekly Bingo in the early afternoon, and live music by The Bingos between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Queen Of Hearts Notice
Due to concerns for the safety of our guests, Post 150 will be strictly enforcing club capacity during Queen of Hearts. Reserving seats will NOT BE ALLOWED, and head count will be taken as our guests arrive in both the club & patio areas. Once maximum capacity has been reached, there will be no further admittance to the club allowed.
Waconia Band Festival & Food Tent
Waconia will be hosting their annual marching band festival on Saturday June 21st and American Legion Post 150 will be serving hot dogs, wings, and fries! Please join us to watch the festival as the bands march down Main Street and enjoy some great food. The food sales will be located outside, and we will have both indoor and outdoor seating!
Flag Day
The Flag Resolution of 1777, passed by the Continental Congress on June 14, officially established the "Stars and Stripes" as the national flag of the United States. Celebrate the birthday of our flag be sure to bringing your worn, faded, torn or soiled flag to Post 150 to be retired and then purchasing a replacement from us.

The Carver County Veterans Council will holding their regular monthly meeting at Chaska VFW Post 1791 Legion on June 5th starting at 7:00 pm.
Flag Retirement Ceremony
Chaska VFW Post 1791 will holding a flag retirement ceremony on June 5th starting at 6:30 pm. The community is encouraged to bringing their tattered flags to Waconia American Legion. Simply place the worn flags into our collection box prior to this event to ensure that your flags will be retired with honor and dignity, and in the manner prescribed per the code of flag etiquette.
