Memorial Day Services

Join Waconia American Legion Post 150 and Victoria American Legion Post 1995 on Monday, May 25th to pay tribute to those who fought and died for our country.

The day to honor the fallen begins at 10:45 AM with a parade led by the Color Guard. The parade begins at the intersection of South Vine Street & West Main Street and ends at City Square Park. Waconia American Legion Post 150 and Victoria American Legion Post 1995 will then host a formal Memorial Day Service in City Square Park starting at 11:00 AM. The services will feature the following:

- Music by the Waconia High School Marching Band
- Community & Legion Speakers
- Keynote Speaker: Curator of Collections Jeremy Murray Of The Carver County Historical Society
- Remember & Honor Program
- Color Guard Salute To The Fallen

After the formal ceremony has concluded, the community is invited to a free picnic at the American Legion Post 150 club located at 4 East Main Street. The picnic includes hot dogs with all the fixings, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, potato chips, pickle spears, and lemonade! Free will donations to support the mission of the American Legion will be accepted during the picnic! See the following link for more information:

NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be cancelled, and the Memorial Services will be held in the Bayview Elementary gym.
